Draping & Fabric Art

4 hr 15 min
200 US dollars

Service Description

In this dynamic workshop, students will dive into the world of fashion design from the inside out — learning how real garments are created from concept to form. Kids will be introduced to the foundations of draping and pattern making, gaining hands-on experience working with fabric directly on a dress form to shape and sculpt their own original designs. Once their design is mapped out, they’ll learn how to create a mock-up (muslin prototype) and bring their idea to life through sewing and garment assembly. To add their personal touch, students will then explore fun and creative surface design techniques such as painting, drawing, or embroidery on their mock-up. This part of the workshop allows for complete freedom of expression and playful experimentation. By the end of the course, each child will have a self-made piece that reflects both their technical learning and their artistic vision — a true introduction to the craft of fashion.
